Life, is not very easy at times and rather uncomfortable at best. Walking down our path in life, we may feel like we’re walking alone, struggling with each step we take. Although we don’t have to struggle as long as we are honest with ourselves and asking for help when needed.
We can find strength and support through asking for help. Asking for help is not the same as complaining or surrendering in a shameful moment of weakness. Successful, motivated, caring and passionate individuals take control – take responsibility for finding the help they need in this “thing” called life.
All to often we lament, dwell on our uncomfortable lives. Its amazing what happens when we pause to find comfort in our hearts during these moments of distress … Whether it be riding your bike from Romania to Indonesia or seeking help during yoga class.

It is unwise to be too sure of one’s own wisdom. It is healthy to be reminded that the strongest might weaken and the wisest might err-
I’ve been thinking a lot recently about what is really blocking the joy we experience while exploring a “healthier” path, our creativity throughout the day, and our peace of mind at night?
Quite surprisingly I may have stumbled on an interesting idea to discuss with you: Peace, quite, bliss, comfort, awareness, stillness … Solitude.
We live in a world that worships fierce independence, yet we deeply fear being alienated and not instantly responding to others: We are over-clocked and over-connected. We are terminally out of touch with our bodies and spirit. Our need for genuine and constructive solitude is utterly lost, looking under the cushions of the couch, we are lost as well.
Today, more than any other time in the year, we need to embrace and seek solitude. Being alone with our thoughts gives us precious insight on how and where to adjust our lives. Solitude brings forth our desire and passion to explore, our curiosity about nature and this beautiful world, our purpose, our individuality.
The sudden, deep thoughts, the explosion of our imaginations, our burgeoning passion evolves in solitude. Enjoy the few extra minutes we have been afforded today, be well and please take care!
Life is what happens to you while you’re busy making other plans-
Often at times we focus primarily on our bodies, the results or the lack there of is: We often neglect our mind.
We have often spoke about one way to relax your body and mind: Consistent meditation practice. A quiet mind is a powerful mind, especially so during the last few miles of a local race or a few extra push ups before you leave the gym. Extraneous thoughts that amass during the day will reduce our focus. When we can calm our minds through meditation? The body becomes free, energized and your true ability lies at your fingertips.

Learning how to sit quietly, without actually “doing” anything other than focusing on your breath is vitally important. Learn to appreciate the “present moment,” because it will after all … vanish in a few seconds.
An expanding awareness of our strengths (quiet, focused mind) and vulnerabilities (neglecting our bodies and ignoring pain) helps each of us to endure difficult times with more equanimity. It becomes a pleasure to stand your ground during tricky situations with a calm mind, not out of stubborn pride. Pride breaks each of us over time.

Our lives are Precious, our lives are Short. When you set forth on your journey today, don’t do “things” simply for the sake of doing them. Be present and take a keen look around at what you are doing in the moment. Only then move forward if you feel there is something meaningful to your action(s). If you fail to find any usefulness in what you are currently doing? Drop it and move onto the next “thing”. If you do so early enough in the day (shower or coffee in the AM)? You have the potential to avoid an enormous amount of unnecessary pain and suffering. Dwell in Positivity by thoroughly enjoying the “things” you love! Life is too short to spend it doing anything else.
If you don’t enjoy what you are doing, then don’t do it. It’s as simple as developing the Courage, the Will Power to stop.
Why is so hard for us to spend our time and energy on the very “things” that bring fulfillment and happiness in our lives?
Work yourself into a thick broozle followed by:
10 Heavy Single Arm KB Swings (snappy)
10 KB Halo’s (each direction)
10 KB Hang Clean + Press (single arm)
10 Goblet Squat Bob + Weave (5 each side – eyes forward)
Form, Flow and Grace … 20-40 minutes.
Have we reached a stage in our society where running a 5k is easier than resisting the urge to Update your Facebook status? Sadly, we think it is. We could even make the argument that running a marathon is easier than sitting down to write an actual letter, you know … Pen and Paper!?!

Not for time (wink-wink): Limber up (not to be confused with stretching) then ease into:
Hand Stand Salsa (JaJaJa)- Flow into a solid handstand, right hand forward, right hand back…you get the point! 5 Minutes of this should be good.
15 Minutes of One Arm Perfect Presses- This is not as many reps! Find perfection, develop the sense of a perfect press. This is how Brother Chaz set his up:
Feet together grabbing the floor (develop a solid base that transfers throughout your entire body)
Hammer Curl to Rack Hold (palm facing body and elbow not touching said body)
Your eyes at this point should be focused on your middle finger. Your wrist should not be bent but rather in-line with the forearm. The eyes stay with your finger and look throughout the press- Look through the press!!!
Alternate, rinse and repeat for both arms obviously.
