Float On

I was never really insane except upon occasions when my heart was touched-

Often at times in life, we seem to be burdened by numerous “things” on any given day. Some of these burdens are healthy and quite beneficial to us: Gravity being one of them. We seem to forget at times how important gravity may be while working out, running and especially during yoga (inversions).

One burden though, is far more exhausting … Our Mental Baggage.

Gravity for the most part has been constant throughout our lives, the same reliable force that patiently reaches out to touch you when you least expect it to. Problem being, many (most if not all) of us accumulate volume upon volume of painful experiences each and every day, baggage.  Just imagine if your mental baggage and gravity were equal?!?

Let us now turn our attention to pain, honestly … When you trip and fall on a loose bit of gravel?  It hurts, you feel pain.  The same applies to the mental baggage we endlessly accumulate during our lives.

Notes:

Sadly, we base our success and failure in life on pain. Does your workout program punish you?  Do you feel like you failed because you are not sore after a workout? Unfortunately, we are not very adept at dealing with failures, the disappointment of not being “sore”. Enter: The Mental Baggage.

  2. I love you. I love, love, love, love you. Uploading photos to finish off my blog at the moment, which is roughly about fear of success (and tons of lovely, delicious mental baggage, hahaha).
    And of course my fitness note was about how awesome I feel because I’m sore from yesterday’s weights.
    Thank you, always, for making me think, rethink, grumble, think and rethink some more. ❤
