Feelin Good’

Laughter and orgasm are great bedfellows

Do you fall into the category of being too refined?  Hopelessly, an old school romantic?  A little uptight and easily taken aback?  Today’s post treads some murky water … If you are easily offended and or have virgin ears/eyes?  Look away, right about now!  Or click this link:  U.S. Pole Dancing Championship<—Yes kids this is a “thing”

Say hello to Shame and Judgement.

One parallel that we like to draw between living a Healthy Life and our own Sexuality … Is what do we do when we strip away the fear of being Shamed and Judged?  What is the motivating factor when you are completely laid bare and exposed to the world?  For many of us the only reason we work out in the first place is to not be Shamed and Judged, to fit perfectly in the mold society has placed us in.  This train of thought also applies to our sex lives:  To be fully open to your partner you need to strip away the fear that holds us back and be completely open with one another.

What we propose to you is to clear the space in your life to learn your own Sexual voice, your own Health and Fitness voice.  Open your mind to how you comprehend, convey and enjoy your sexuality.  By opening your sexual expression with a loved one … Let’s just say this is a classic example of a Win – Win situation.

The Plan-

Give up sitting dutifully at your desk. Leave
your house or apartment. Go out into the world.

It’s all right to carry a notebook but a cheap
one is best, with pages the color of weak tea
and on the front a kitten or a space ship.

Avoid any enclosed space where more than
three people are wearing turtlenecks. Beware
any snow-covered chalet with deer tracks
across the muffled tennis courts.

Not surprisingly, libraries are a good place to write.
And the perfect place in a library is near an aisle
where a child a year or two old is playing as his
mother browses the ranks of the dead.

Often he will pull books from the bottom shelf.
The title, the author’s name, the brooding photo
on the flap mean nothing. Red book on black, gray
book on brown, he builds a tower. And the higher
it gets, the wider he grins.

You who asked for advice, listen: When the tower
falls, be like that child. Laugh so loud everybody
in the world frowns and says, “Shhhh.”

Then start again.

The Workout-

Let’s start with a nice flowing Tantra (what?) Trail Run followed by:

15 Hard Style KB Swings

100 Meter Sprint

Anywhere between 5-10 times through this program would be pretty cool.

Lumbopelvic Rhythm<— It’s all in the hips.

Notes:

With sex, just like working out …  Anything is possible.  You are afforded the opportunity to be anything you want … ENJOY!!!

Love it. Unfortunate I will have to wait to explore my sexuality for obvious reasons. Oh well I always have myself. 🙂 And I must say, I really do LOVE myself. 🙂 As always your post is very witty.

I have put off writing about this topic for sometime now, I’m glad you liked it. People tend to get a little stuffy and uptight about the topic of sex and sexuality … I can understand and respect that. But HELLO?!? You would not be reading had it not been for sex in some form or another … 😉 I might explore and delve into this subject some more in the coming months. 🙂

social stereotypes and norms can be so destructive and feed on our insecurities. is it ever enough? what if you did change everything that made you unique to look/be like the stereotype? the place it is at is just learning to absolutely accept and love yourself. then no one can judge you or shame you. then you can be open in your sexuality, your fitness, your life. in fact, if anyone doesn’t like it, tries to judge or shame? well, jog on! great topic, thanks for opening it up!

Brilliant! A friend of mine brought this topic up yesterday and after thinking about it for a millisecond I decided it’s something I feel needs to discussed more often. I cut a lot of it out to tame it down a bit … 😉
Interestingly enough the link at the top for the pole dancing championship? Michelle Stanek shares some really pure thoughts on what it takes to be completely open and engaged in whatever you do.

  3. The best part of aging…you don’t give a crap about what others think. I exercise because it is good for me, it feels good and I want to…..not because I’m trying to fit into a bikini. Sex…same thing…it’s good for me, it feels good and I want to. Sounds like a good mantra doesn’t it?

    Most excellent Fever quote.

Really enjoyed your post. It is quite amazing how our own sexuality is often tied to our self image and how we perceive we appear.

I’m really glad you liked it and thank you for reading. This is really a broad and wide ranging topic that I tried to address in a pithy manner. Being fully open with ourselves and others, I feel is critical to our overall spiritual well being. Thank you once and take care!!! 🙂

♥ Love this. Once you trust someone enough to truly be yourself, there is no going back, not the slightest temptation to step out. Magic.
